“ZWISCHEN_BÄUMEN” is a high-altitude, poetic dance performance that depicts the ramblings of mythical creatures through the woods. It’s hard to tell if these fairies and sprites are falling or floating, chasing or fleeing, playing or flirting. The audience follows them as they scamper about, discovering hidden secrets in an apparently ordinary environment. In an era in which realism and pragmatism seem to have the upper hand, the spectators are able to rediscover the possibility of dreaming, wondering and believing in magic. The virtuosic movement vocabulary and the specially commissioned music remain in the audience’s memory long after the end of the performance.
